Christians Beat Imam, World in Flames

RFDAH: Christians Beat Imam, World in Flames

To better illustrate the current dreadful state of affairs, I will fabricate an alternative event based on the following article. Many recent articles have been written about “youths” assaulting Jewish or Christian religious authorities and at random, I selected the following article of one such jihadi assault in Brooklyn. In stark contrast to CAIR’s over hyped statistics and manufactured controversies, here an actual religiously driven assault took place. Michal Lando of the Jerusalem Post, reports on the Jihadi attack in his Mar. 19, 2008 article:

Israeli attacked by Arab youth in NY.

“A 25-year-old Israeli rabbinical assistant was assaulted by a group of Arab teenagers screaming "Allah akbar" in Brooklyn on Tuesday evening.

Uria Ohana, originally from Kfar Chabad, entered a subway station in the affluent Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn Tuesday evening, on his way to a lecture in Manhattan, when he noticed a group of Arab teenagers congregated on a bench in the station.

Ohana did not exchange words or make eye contact with the group, but proceeded upstairs to his train.

On his way, he felt someone grab his kippa from his head and then heard laughter. Ohana decided to chase the boys to retrieve his kippa.

The 18-year-old boy who grabbed the kippa left the subway station and ran into the street, where he was hit by a car, breaking his leg.

While Ohana chased the boy, the other teenagers began chasing him, screaming "Allah akbar."

"They screamed at me, 'Did you see what happened to him because of you?'" said Ohana, a Chabad-Lubavitch rabbinical assistant who works in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Two of the Arab boys then started kicking and punching Ohana in the face.

"As soon as they started screaming, I understood [the attack] was racial," said Ohana.

The crime is being investigated as aggravated harassment and a possible bias crime, according to a New York Police Department spokeswoman. "I am almost sure it will be charged as a hate crime," said the spokeswoman.

"I'm sad that this kind of attack is coming to New York after seeing this in Israel," said Ohana. "An Arab teenager attacking a Jew for being a Jew scares me as a Jew."

Ohana said one police officer brushed the incident off as a case of a teenager who "doesn't know what 'Allah akbar' means.

"This scares me in a global context, Arabs taking national pride one step forward," said Ohana.

The youth who was hit by the car was taken to the Lutheran Medical Center to be treated for his broken leg and was placed under arrest. The other two boys fled the scene and have not yet been apprehended.

Now, RFDAH will rewrite the article with a few minor replacements, and elaborate on the consequences. Changes made are italicized.

Imam attacked by Christian Mob in NY

-RFDAH

“A 25-year-old Imam was assaulted by a group of Christian males screaming "God is Great!" in Brooklyn on Tuesday evening.

Imam Mohammed, originally from Mecca, entered a subway station in the affluent Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn Tuesday evening, on his way to a lecture in Manhattan, when he noticed a pack of marauding Christian males lurking on a bench in the station.

Imam Mohammed did not exchange words or make eye contact with the group, but proceeded upstairs to his train.

On his way, he felt someone grab his imama from his head and then heard laughter. Imam Mohammed decided to chase his Christian assailants to retrieve his imama.

The 18-year-old man who grabbed the imama left the subway station and ran into the street, where he was hit by a car, breaking his leg.

While Imam Mohammed chased the Christ follower, the other teenagers began chasing him, screaming "God is Great."

"They screamed at me, 'Did you see what happened to him because of you?'" said Imam Mohammed, an Imam at the Al-Faruq Mosque in New York City.

Two of the male Christian assailants then started kicking and punching Imam Mohammed in the face.

"As soon as they started screaming, I understood [the attack] was racial," said Imam Mohammed.

The crime is being investigated as aggravated harassment and a possible bias crime, according to a New York Police Department spokeswoman. "I am almost sure it will be charged as a hate crime," said the spokeswoman. CAIR however, disagrees that their could be any doubt that it was a hate crime. CAIR is demanding to meet with NYPD officials to discuss the case further. CAIR is also petitioning the NYC FBI Field Office to join the investigation to insure the NYPD does not deliver another perversion of justice against an innocent Muslim.

"I'm sad that this kind of attack is coming to New York after seeing this in Iraq," said Imam Mohammed. "A group Christian men attacking a Muslim for being a Muslim scares me as a Muslim."

The courageous Imam Mohammed said one police officer brushed the incident off as a case of a teenager who "doesn't know what ‘God is Great' means. That non-muslim officer has since been suspended and will not be allowed to return to duty until he has received sensitivity training.

The Jesus thug who was hit by the car was taken to the Lutheran Medical Center to be treated for his broken leg and was placed under arrest. The other two men fled the scene and have not yet been apprehended. CAIR has sponsored an award for the arrest of these fugitives and will hold a candle light vigil every night until they are apprehended. CAIR also announced its legal action against the assailants and the church they were members of. In the lawsuit, in which the assailants and their Church are named as defendants, CAIR is seeking:

· $300,000 for physical damages suffered from the assault

· $500,000 for damage to the Imam’s character and community standing

· $800,000 for the Imam’s travel and security as the assault has left him too traumatized to take public transportation and travel outside without protection

· $250,000 donation to the Al-Faruq Mosque for its inter-faith outreach program

· A written statement and press conference from the church apologizing for the hate speech it preaches and violence it inspires

· All defendants must participate in a year long Islamic awareness class

This vicious assault by Christian zealots has sparked massive protests from Muslims around the world. Provoked by the outrage, otherwise peaceful Muslims, understandably let loose bottled up frustration at continuing US economic and foreign policies that perpetuate Muslim suffering and demean Islam. Predictably, a number of US diplomatic offices in the Middle East and Europe have been destroyed by enflamed Muslims.

At a recent White House press briefing, President Bush down played the significance of the violence reaffirming that Islam is a religion of peace, and the actions of a few should be taken as representative of one of the world’s great religions.

Global protesters were reported to be in the millions, with that number expected to grow as Arab media continues its extensive coverage of the assault. Saudi Cleric’s have issued a fatawa reaffirming the permission to violently harm infidel who offend or assault a Muslim. Tehran has issued a statement using Christian aggression as justification for pursuing a nuclear weapons program. US State Department officials dismissed such statements as saber rattling, and need not be addressed by any US action or statements.

Noticeably, CAIR, or any other Muslim ‘civil rights’ group, has not taken any measure of support they themselves have sought time again for Muslim victims, real or manufactured, of similar crimes. Neither CAIR’s national or NYC office has issued any statement condemning the attack, offered any support to the victim, or offered any assistance to help capture the remaining suspects. Accordingly, one could easily label their claims of inter-faith initiatives dubious at best.

A very simple exercise, not of my own creativity, I recommend this thought exercise to highlight any number of travesties.
