Trifecta of NoVa Jihad

What is going on? Where are these muslims getting this jihad stuff anyway...oh wait, the Koran, the Hadiths, the Saudis, the Muslim Brootherhood...that's right.

So we've got: Facebook Jihadi+MetroBomber+Dulles Grand Theft Jihadi=Xmas Unholy Trinity. Add in the Charm City recent revert to Islam and you've got 4 times the trouble in greater DC area...must be something in the water.

Breakdown is as follows:
Facebook Jihadi: Awais Younis, an Afghan, also known as Sundullah "Sunny" Ghilzai and Mohannme Khan, allegedly described how to build a pipe bomb that could maximize casualties on the Washington Metrorail, according to a December 6 criminal affidavit. Key themes: Afghan, Muslim, Metro.

MetroBomber: And in October, authorities charged Farooque Ahmed, 34, of Ashburn with conspiring with people he thought to be al-Qaeda operatives to bomb the Arlington Cemetery, Pentagon City, Crystal City and Court House Metro stations. The operatives were actually working with the FBI. Key themes: Pakistani, Muslim, Metro

Grand Theft Jihadi: Have one look at Muslim Muhammad Teshale, and you already know it’s jihad. There’s no way this guy’s multiple hit and run accidents on I-66, yesterday morning, were an “accident” because he caused at least SIX separate accidents, while driving a shuttle at Washington Dulles International Airport. And looking at the photo you gotta ask what the hell a jihadi looking person like this is doing as a licensed, employed airport shuttle. Um, helloooooo . . .? And the guy reportedly did this “to become famous.” Yeah, “famous” to allah and the Arab street. Hey, just like the 9/11 hijackers, also “famous.” He was shuttling no passengers, and drove as fast as he could during rush hour traffic, at a time when he knew he could cause the most accidents and injure the most people. If this isn’t highway jihad, what is? Teshale is replete with halal beard and all. Key themes: Muslim, Transit
Make sure you click on the link to see his photo: shaved head, full beard, super short mustache, just like Mohammed.

So lets play security manager: Devoted Muslim: Give him a van, access to the airport, and lots of captive passengers. New mom with breastmilk: photograph naked and/or grope. Man with bladder bag: photograph naked and/or group. etc...

Cracker jack work, gold star for Dulles, the TSA, and cowards who refuse to openly address the violence inherent in Islam. Bottom line, the US has adopted a strategy of "Its safer for my career to risk lives than be sued." We are moving downhill at warp speed. Beam me up.

Border Security: Ground Truth and Solutions

Interested in border security follow the links in the story below:
After watching the security situation on our southern border deteriorate to the point where the United States was now under the direct threat of the narco-insurgency destroying Mexico, I decided to put together an organization called SAFE (Secure America Forever) to help counter the threat.

As part of SAFE’s Information Division I began posting about the border here on Big Peace and Big Government. The first piece was called “American Rancher X, Part 1 & Part 2“.

Also as part of SAFE’s Information Division, we at SAFE decided to launch a documentary series called “SAFE On The Border”. Below is the first episode, “Cartel Sniper/Observation Posts On The U.S. Side Of The Border”.

One Hundred Naked Citizens: One Hundred Leaked Body Scans

We have the technology, we can make porn from them.

From gizmodo.com
At the heart of the controversy over "body scanners" is a promise: The images of our naked bodies will never be public. U.S. Marshals in a Florida Federal courthouse saved 35,000 images on their scanner. These are those images.

A Gizmodo investigation has revealed 100 of the photographs saved by the Gen 2 millimeter wave scanner from Brijot Imaging Systems, Inc., obtained by a FOIA request after it was recently revealed that U.S. Marshals operating the machine in the Orlando, Florida courthouse had improperly-perhaps illegally-saved images of the scans of public servants and private citizens.

We understand that it will be controversial to release these photographs. But identifying features have been eliminated. And fortunately for those who walked through the scanner in Florida last year, this mismanaged machine used the less embarrassing imaging technique.

Yet the leaking of these photographs demonstrates the security limitations of not just this particular machine, but millimeter wave and x-ray backscatter body scanners operated by federal employees in our courthouses and by TSA officers in airports across the country. That we can see these images today almost guarantees that others will be seeing similar images in the future. If you're lucky, it might even be a picture of you or your family.

While the fidelity of the scans from this machine are of surprisingly low resolution, especially compared to the higher resolution "naked scanners" using the potentially harmful x-ray backscatter technology, the TSA and other government agencies have repeatedly touted the quality of "Advanced Imaging Technology" while simultaneously assuring customers that operators "cannot store, print, transmit or save the image, and the image." According to the TSA—and of course other agencies—images from the scanners are "automatically deleted from the system after it is cleared by the remotely located security officer." Whatever the stated policy, it's clear that it is trivial for operators to save images and remove them for distribution if they choose not to follow guidelines or that other employees could remove images that are inappropriately if accidentally stored.

To the point, these sample images were removed from the machine in Orlando by the U.S. Marshals for distribution under the FOIA request before the machine was sent back to its manufacturer—images intact.

We look forward to seeing your next vacation photos.

Peaceful Muslims Strike Again

Perhaps they are reading more the Medina suras...
CAIRO-- Muslims set fire overnight to at least 10 houses belonging to Coptic Christians in a village in southern Egypt over rumors that a Christian resident had an affair with a Muslim girl, security officials said Tuesday.

The officials said security forces have sealed off the village of al-Nawahid, in Qena province some 290 miles south of Cairo, to prevent the violence from spreading to neighboring towns. They said several people were arrested.

The attacks started after locals spotted a young Copt and a Muslim girl together at night inside the village cemetery, the officials said. They added that both were put under police custody as authorities investigate.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the media.

Clashes between Christians and Muslims occasionally occur in southern Egypt, mostly over land or disputes over church construction. But sectarian tensions have also been on the rise recently in the capital.

Big Sis: Naked Pics, Sex Assault, or Go Home

You want to fly? Have a stranger take a naked picture of you, have a stranger touch you in a way that would normally get someone arrested, or stop flying...brilliant strategy. Big Sis confirms these are the options if you want to fly...what does she go through when she wants to fly? And if it ain't good for pilots and crew, then it isn't good enough for us.

Jim Tyner said no to the above, was refused flight, and then threatened with a lawsuit for failing to complete screening after being escorted from the airport. Follow his blog here.

National Opt-Out Day

Also check out: http://www.pleaseremoveyourshoesmovie.com/
Wednesday, November 24, 2010 is NATIONAL OPT-OUT DAY!
It's the day ordinary citizens stand up for their rights, stand up for liberty, and protest the federal government's desire to virtually strip us naked or submit to an "enhanced pat down" that touches people's breasts and genitals in an aggressive manner. You should never have to explain to your children, "Remember that no stranger can touch or see your private area, unless it's a government employee, then it's OK."

The goal of National Opt Out Day is to send a message to our lawmakers that we demand change. We have a right to privacy and buying a plane ticket should not mean that we're guilty until proven innocent. This day is needed because many people do not understand what they consent to when choosing to fly.

Here are the details:

Who?
You, your family and friends traveling by air on Wednesday, November 24, 2010.

What?
National Opt-Out Day. You have the right to opt-out of the naked body scanner machines (AIT, or Advance Imaging Technology, as the government calls it). All you have to do is say "I opt out" when they tell you to go through one of the machines. You will then be given an "enhanced" pat down. Remember too, as the TSA says, "Everyday is opt-out day." That is, you can opt out any time you fly.

Where?
At an airport near you!

When?
Wednesday, November 24, 2010. We want families to sit around the dinner table, eating turkey, talking about their experience - what constitutes an unreasonable search, how forceful of a pat down will we allow, especially of children, and how much privacy are we will to give up? We hope the experience then propels people to write their Member of Congress and the airlines to demand change.

Why?
The government should not have the ability to virtually strip search anyone it wants. The problem is compounded in that if you do not want to go through the naked body scanner, the government has made the alternative perhaps worse! In an effort to try and make everyone comply with the scanners, the government has instituted "enhanced" pat downs. There are reports from travelers across the country about how the TSA now touches the genitals and private areas of men, women and children in a much more aggressive manner. We do not believe the government has a right to see you naked or aggressively feel you up just because you bought an airline ticket.

How?
By saying "I opt out" when told to go through the bodying imaging machines and submitting to a pat down. Also, be sure to have your pat down by TSA in full public - do not go to the back room when asked. Every citizen must see for themselves how the government treats law-abiding citizens.

NoVa Muslim Arrested On Terror

I know you'll find this hard to believe, but another Northern Virginia muslim was arrested for planning terror...shocking. Its remarkable how many local muslims are simply misunderstanding the sacred holy peaceful texts of the religion of peace...oh wait, after a thorough review of progressive revelations in the Quran, a review of the Hadiths, and a few hours on Saudi state programming and they seem to have their theology down pretty good: kill, convert, or submit the infidel.

Va man charged in fake bomb plot against DC subway
October 27, 2010

By ALICIA CALDWELL
Associated Press

WASHINGTON - A Virginia man was arrested Wednesday and charged with trying to help people he believed were al-Qaida operatives in planning to bomb subway stations around the nation's capital, the FBI said.

The FBI said the public was never in danger because its agents were aware of the man's activities before the alleged planning took place and monitored him throughout.

Farooque Ahmed, 34, a naturalized citizen born in Pakistan, had been indicted under seal Tuesday in Alexandria, Va., and the indictment was released Wednesday. He was charged with attempting to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization, collecting information to assist in planning a terrorist attack on a transit facility, and attempting to provide material support to carry out multiple bombings to cause mass casualties at Washington-area metro stations. Ahmed lives in Ashburn, Va., outside Washington.

Federal investigators said starting in April Ahmed met several times with people he believed were al-Qaida operatives. During one of those meetings, investigators said, he agreed to watch and photograph a hotel in Washington and a Metro station in Arlington, Va. He also was accused of participating in surveillance, recording video of a subway station in Arlington on four different occasions, and agreeing to get security information about two stations.

Investigators said in a Sept. 28 meeting he gave diagrams of Arlington metro stations to a person he thought was part of al-Qaida and gave suggestions about where to put explosives on trains to kill the most people in simultaneous attacks planned for 2011.

"Today's case underscores the need for continued vigilance against terrorist threats and demonstrates how the government can neutralize such threats before they come to fruition," Assistant Attorney General for National Security David Kris said in a statement after Ahmed's arrest. "Farooque Ahmed is accused of plotting with individuals he believed were terrorists to bomb our transit system, but a coordinated law enforcement and intelligence effort was able to thwart his plans."

Ahmed faces up to 50 years in prison if convicted.

RUN THE ISA OUT OF VIRGINIA

V
VAST

RUN THE ISA OUT OF VIRGINIA

We are back where we started with the Islamic Saudi Academy.

The Saudis have dropped their plan to develop the Popes Head Rd. site. The poor state of the economy, increased federal scrutiny of cash transfers from “middle eastern sources” to ISA, skittishness of any commercial lenders to become involved with the ISA extremists and the overall “plum, mad-dog mean” persistence of our opposition halted the radical school’s expansion.

They have feverishly been contacting private schools throughout Northern Virginia and offering huge amounts of cash for already-established schools. Now they are backed into a corner – none of the schools are apparently willing to sell. (Many schools which have been approached contacted VAST and gave us some details of the ISA offers.)

Now, we have the opportunity to make this radical, anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-Christian (to name just a few) bunch homeless. The Board of Supervisors will vote on Oct. 19 on whether or not to renew the lease of the current ISA on Route 1 in South Alexandria. If the Supervisors vote not to renew the lease then the ISA will have to find some new dark corner from which to peddle hate-based violence as it attempts to create a generation of home-grown terrorists. We need to send them packing and we can do that with this single vote.

It is important for a host of reasons but it is most important because it demonstrates that they can’t continue to buy crooked politicians and deceive the gullible into enabling the growth of domestic jihad. It must stop in Virginia and it must stop now.

Please use the attached flyer in your church, synagogue or wherever to help us building the same attendance we had the last time we fought this. This can become the first and most decisive knockout punch to the domestic jihad.

A victory over domestic jihad here in Virginia will energize and mobilize our allies in Tennessee, California, Texas, Minnesota, Florida and elsewhere to continue the struggle against hate-based violence.

All of the Saudi money and oil-based power buys a lot but it doesn’t buy the American people.

Remember the words of that great American Josey Wales:
“Now remember, things look bad and it looks like you’re not gonna make it then you gotta get mean. I mean plum, mad-dog mean… ‘Cause if you lose your head and you live up then you neither live nor win. That’s just the way it is.”

PLEASE REPRINT THE ATTACHED FLYER AND PASS IT ON TO AS MANY AS POSSIBLE.

You Hold the Power to Stop Hate-based Extremism
1. Register to testify
2. Call your supervisor.
3. Come to the hearing on October 19 and be heard.

Professional Malfeasance

Jihad, what jihad? Behold the mental gymnastics of our national security leadership.
Anyone else feel safer? Visit: Sharia the Threat

Let's try this again, and replace Jihad with Nazis.
FBI/Intel Head: "We believe in the first amendment right, and uphold a policy that promotes the positive elements of Mein Kampf. I can't comment on individuals, but I can tell you we have an effective policy of outreach to members of the Nazi community, and each one said they wouldn't kill more than just a couple jews...oh wait..."

ATTN US Army: West Point Grad Defends CAIR=HAMAS

The audio trails off at the end, but not before an unconfirmed West Point grad hurls taqqiya. Issue number 1: Is this a budding Maj. Hassan or useful idiot, you decide. Either way, when a military officer attends a CAIR=Hamas dinner and defends it in an interview on camera it is a giant red flag, or perhaps a pre-incident indicator, or a violation of oath of office and uniformed code of military justice. However under this Administration, it should not interfere with his security clearance.

CAIR 16th Annual Banquet

How much would you pay to know if a Hamas founded organization knew who you were? How about $65? That's the cost of admission to CAIR's 16th annual banquet and fundraiser. Last year, I attended CAIR's 15th annual banquet without incident, but apparently the have judged me as part of the Islamophobia machine, which in different parts of the world is announcing a death sentence.

So this year, I wanted to know if CAIR=Hamas was actually organized enough to follow what they say, because that hasn't always been the case. To get to registration, I walked by the VIP room that was laid out like a tent with cushions, the prayer room, and all sorts of items up for auction. The items up for auction is a new twist that they had not done in the past two years...maybe they're hard up for cash with all their legal troubles.

Also new this year, were the CAIR security and their metal detection handwands. These are really more for show to intimidate anyone that might want to come with an unauthorized recording device.

At registration, were a white non-muslim male and female. This too was new, guess CAIR spread its wings for interns this year. The male looked through the registration sheet, quickly went to see Corey Saylor, and returned. Corey came over, and oh so nicely informed me that they could not accomodate me, that my money had been refunded, and that they had sent me an email. I was somewhat expecting not to get in because I had registered about 4 p.m. the day before. Had that been the end of it, I may have accepted the mysterious cancellation as a polite way of saying I booked too late. But, with CAIR...its never that simple. I had not checked my email before, but they had sent me the following cancellation. Appartently, it took about five hours on the Friday night before a major event to determine I was trouble, which means they probably had me on a standing list of threats that merit a reply from their National Legal Counsel...and fellow defendent.

Dear Mr. ,

Thank you very much for your interest in attending our banquet; unfortunately, we will be unable to accommodate you.

Thank you for your understanding. We have already refunded your ticket price as is evidenced in the attached document.

Best regards,

The delay between Corey's notification and his coming to deliver the news was apparently to notify Marriott security. So Marriott security escorted me out, they never touched me, they also never told me why I needed an escort. Along the walk, the guard had to let another guard and a supervisor know that everything was ok. Apparently, CAIR deemed RFDAH a big security risk...I imagined this is how Chuck Norris must make people feel. I don't fault security, they followed safe practices, its just telling that CAIR has follow through and that it identifed me as such a risk.

For the sake of argument, what could the Ground Mosque Zero developer and a Hamas founded organization say behind closed doors that would be so devistating if it were leaked out...or say entered into Federal prosecution evidence. Oh yeah, lots of things.

I will write another post on the protest outside, getting late. Good job by VAST, was great to see everyone and meet Gellar and Spencer. More later when later is more.

FBI Give Hamas Operative A Tour

When I tell people that we are losing the war on terror, they look concerned. When I tell them my conclusion has nothing to do with Iraq or Afghanistan, they look confused. Pat Poole, captures a sadly repetitive story, of the US inviting known bad guys (identified as such by Federal Prosecutors), through tours of our most sensitive areas. You cannot defeat an enemy by inviting him into your house, this only confuses your family, not your enemy. We have clearly made a decision not to win....think Gen. Eisenhower would have invited Rommel to inspect his troops before D-Day?

Would you invite this guy into the National Counterterrorism Center?

FBI Escorts Known Hamas Operative Through Top-Secret National Counterterrorism Center as “Outreach” to Muslim Community

Posted by Patrick S. Poole Sep 27th 2010 at 3:52 am in Featured Story, Islamic extremism | Comments (60)

Sheikh Kifah Mustapha (third from left) touring the National Counterterrorism Center (Photo: FBI)

A known Hamas operative and unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history – Kifah Mustapha – was recently escorted into the top-secret National Counterterrorism Center and other secure government facilities, including the FBI’s training center at Quantico, during a six-week “Citizen’s Academy” hosted by the FBI as part of its “outreach” to the Muslim Community. The group was accompanied by reporter Ben Bradley of WLS-Chicago (ABC), who filed a report on the trip to Washington D.C. on Sunday, who observed:

Sheik Kifah Mustapha, who runs the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, asked some of the most pointed questions during the six week FBI Citizens’ Academy and trip to Washington. He pushed agents to fully explain everything from the bureau’s use of deadly force policy to racial and ethnic profiling. “I saw a very interesting side of what the FBI does and I wanted to know more,” Sheik Mustapha explained after returning from D.C. He hopes the FBI’s outreach runs deeper than positive public relations. Yes, I bet he wanted to know everything about the FBI’s policies.

Curiously, Bradley’s report on the Citizen’s Academy fails to make note Mustapha’s extensive terrorist ties and support for Hamas, including his former employment with the Holy Land Foundation, which was listed as a specially designated terrorist group by the U.S. government in December 2001, and whose executives were convicted of terrorism support in 2008 and sentenced to lengthy prison terms. Mustapha was personally named unindicted co-conspirator (#31) in the case and employment records submitted by federal prosecutors during the trial showed that he received more than $154,000 for his work for the Holy Land Foundation between 1996 and 2000. During the trial, FBI Special Agent Lara Burns testified that Mustapha also sang in a band sponsored by the Holy Land Foundation that regularly featured songs dedicated to killing Jews and glorifying Hamas. In a deposition he gave in a civil trial concerned with the murder of a Chicago teenager killed by Hamas while waiting for a bus in Israel, Mustapha admitted that he was the registered agent for the Holy Land Foundation in Illinois, and also to his involvement with other Hamas front groups, including the Islamic Association for Palestine. He was later hired as an imam by the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, which the Chicago Tribune reported in 2004 has long been a hotbed of Hamas support.

Bradley’s omission of this information about Kifah Mustapha in his report on Sunday is all the more curious since his own station aired an extensive investigative report of Mustapha’s terrorist ties earlier this year. The WLS investigation into Mustapha’s terrorist ties was prompted by a report published by the Investigative Project on Terrorism in January, which noted that Mustapha had been selected and trained as a chaplain by the Illinois State Police despite his documented terrorist support. The State Police eventually withdrew Mustapha’s appointment as chaplain and just last month he filed a lawsuit against the agency claiming discrimination aided by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, another FBI-identified Hamas front group.

There are several obvious problems with this episode, the first being the FBI’s “outreach” to a known Hamas operative (identified as such by federal prosecutors) and walking him through some of our country’s most sensitive counter-terrorism facilities. Why should terrorist operatives have to covertly case potential targets when the FBI will happily escort them and taken them into areas they would never be able to reach on their own? Who’s next on the FBI’s “outreach” calendar, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his fellow GITMO detainees?

This ongoing “outreach” to terror-linked individuals and leaders of known terrorist front groups by senior leaders of our national security, homeland security and law enforcement agencies is the kind of behavior criticized by my colleagues and I in the Team B II’s report released earlier this month, “Shariah: The Threat to America“. As I observed last week here at Big Peace, Matt Duss of the Center for America Progress and ThinkProgress.org demands that we continue this insane national policy of embracing the same individuals and organizations who have been caught openly cheerleading for Islamic terrorists and have called for the destruction of the U.S. and Western Civilization.

The other glaring problem is that a reporter working in one of the largest media markets in the country can travel to such an event and be unaware of or unwilling to mention his own station’s reporting on his travel partner’s terrorist support activities. Such is the state of the establishment media today.

Shariah: The Threat to America

This along with a host of other books should be required reading for those serving in public office and/or with the public trust.

Shariah: The Threat to America

Center for Security Policy | Sep 13, 2010

This study is the result of months of analysis, discussion and drafting by a group of top security policy experts concerned with the preeminent totalitarian threat of our time: the legal-political-military doctrine known within Islam as "shariah." It is designed to provide a comprehensive and articulate "second opinion" on the official characterizations and assessments of this threat as put forth by the United States government. This study challenges the assumptions underpinning the official line in the conflict with today's totalitarian threat, which is currently euphemistically described as "violent extremism," and the policies of co-existence, accommodation and submission that are rooted in those assumptions.

UPDATE: The Team B II Report, Shariah: The Threat to America, wil be released in early October as a 370-page paperback volume, and will be available to purchase at Amazon.com for $14.00. This official version will include an expanded section on the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) as well as the complete text of the 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document, "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America,"entered into evidence in the US v Holy Land Foundation trial.

VAST Calls for “Full Disclosure” from Fairfax Supervisors Considering Vote on Radical Saudi Academy’s Lease

Connolly Took Saudi Money While Promoting/Voting on Radical School Lease

A Virginia group has called on members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to “fully disclose” donations they have received from groups and individuals with an interest in the October 19 hearing on the renewal of the lease of the radical Islamic Saudi Academy on Route 1.

James Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force (VAST) said in a letter to each Supervisor that he was concerned because former Board Chairman Gerry Connolly received numerous contributions to his Congressional campaign as he was shepherding the last ISA lease renewal through the board and attacking opponents.

An Associated Press report on June 17, 2008 stated: “The board’s chairman Gerry Connolly, the Democratic nominee for Congress in Virginia’s 11th District offered a strong defense of the school and accused critics of slander during the meeting in which the lease was approved.”

“Connolly should have recused himself from the process but instead he carried the water for the Islamist radicals and cashed a lot of their checks,” said Lafferty. “Many of the contributions were to his Congressional campaign but , at least, one of them was not reported to the Federal Elections Commission.

“We are asking each Board member to check his/her records and if they have accepted contributions from any entity connected to the ISA and that includes

2-2-2

CAIR, the Islamic Society of North America and any other Islamist groups and any individuals or officials of any of the local mosques, we are asking them to comply with the law and recuse themselves. “

While promoting the last ISA lease renewal in 2008, Connolly received the following support from those with a strong interest in the radical school operated by the Saudi government:

Nihad Awad donated $500 on January 24, 2008. Awad is a founder of CAIR and stated in a 1994 speech in Florida “After I researched the situation inside and outside Palestine, I am in support of the Hamas movement.”

Yaqub Mirza gave $1,000 on January 12, 2008. Mirza is a prominent leader in the Safa group, a radical Islamist operation in Northern Virginia. Congressman Andre Carson (D-Indiana), a Muslim, returned a Mirza donation to his campaign.

Hisham al-Talib gave $1,000 on January 24, 2008. Al Talib is another Safa leader.

Arab-American Leadership PAC, a group funded partially by the radical Muslim Brotherhood, donated $2,000 during the 2008 cycle.

Connolly also received $18,758 from Qorvis Communications in 2006 through 2008, according to published reports. Qorvis represents the Saudi government. Its Washington and Virginia offices were raided by the FBI after the 9/11 attacks. The embassy of the Saudi government is listed as the owner/operator of the ISA.

“Connolly was busy cashing checks and shilling for the Saudis but we didn’t find out about it until after the vote was taken and after he had called the citizen opposition ‘slanderers’ and ‘bigots’.

“Shortly after the vote was taken, Connolly called on the State Department to investigate the ISA. He tried to have it a variety of ways.

“We want to ensure that no other Board member follows his scurrilous example and gets purchased, leased or rented by the Saudis and their radical operatives.”

VAST is a coalition of citizens and organizations opposed to the spread of radical Shariah influence, law and practices in Virginia and across America. VAST has opposed the expansion of the radical Islamic Saudi Academy in Virginia, the construction of radical mosques in Tennessee and the Ground Zero Mosque in New York. "Secure the border, and I'll go home."

The underlying theme behind much of the conservative American frustration with their government is its dereliction of enumerated duties and intrusions into other unauthorized areas. Our government can mandate free men to have health insurance through a perversion of the interstate commerce clause but claims impotency to secure the border which the Constitution expressly states it will do.

Well folks, this is America, and those Americans left, well, they get the job done. These relics of US ascendancy remain an industrious people who surmount challenges to prosper. These Americans remain the bulwark against the passive failures of seductive excuses. In other words, if you won't do it, I will.

When it comes to border security, like many other issues, we expect the border to be secured. That's what borders are for, securing. It is neither optional, nor rational, to force an inanimate object to do something it cannot. You cannot wishfully think a rock into water, nor a border secure. This would be a completely different conversation if we renounced our borders and declared them merely to be gateways, thresholds, or scenic overlooks. So if it must be done, and the government won't do it, well then, the US citizen, which extends authority to the government, will. This article highlights this frustration. An citizen patrolling the border says:

"If they don't like the way I'm doing it, if they don't like me as a person doing it, if they don't like the groups that are coming out, good," Ready said. "Then let's change it. Let's secure the border, and I'll go home."

ISA Lease Renewal Time Again

Well, it's silly season again, the Islamic Saudi Academy, and all of its rascally loveable quirks (poor tenant, convicted assassins, Jihad textbooks, Sharia compliance, etc...), is up for a renewal of its lease with TerrorFax (Fairfax Co.). Let the Dhimmitude begin!

Blue Ridge Forum

The many Virginia and national voices who have opposed over the last two years Fairfax County leasing its land to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia for the operation of the Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA) will have an opportunity on October 19 once more to tell local politicians that they don't want the ISA operating on public land in Fairfax County.

rns_school_01Genuine and continuing transparency of both the curriculum and the practices of the ISA to ensure the school is not an academy for Shariah should be a condition precedent, in our view, to any such rental of Commonwealth land.

"Team B" Shariah Report
Andy McCarthy guides us today to a useful Family Security Matters summary of the Center for Security Policy's new report "Shariah: The Threat to America." (also posted on this site)
Here (p. 85) is pertinent text from the Fairfax County Supervisors September 14 "board package" on the October 19 hearing.

"TIMING:
Board action is requested on September 14, 2010, to provide sufficient time to advertise the proposed public hearing to be held on October 19, 2010, at 5:00 p.m.
BACKGROUND
The Board of Supervisors is the owner of a facility located at 8333 Richmond Highway and identified as Tax Map Numbers 101-4 ((1)) 005A, 101-4 ((1)) 057, 101-4 ((8)) (E) 001, and 101-4 ((7)) 001. The Islamic Saudi Academy has leased the school since 1989 for the operation of a private school. The current lease expires on June 30, 2011, and the Islamic Saudi Academy has requested an extension. Therefore, it is proposed that the County enter into a lease addendum that will permit the Islamic Saudi Academy to continue leasing this site for the period of July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012.Included in the lease addendum is an option, subject to approval by the County, to extend the lease for two additional one-year periods."

In June of 2008, ABC 7 News reported in its "Head of Virginia Islamic School Arrested; Protesters Demand Shutdown" that –

"The [Fairfax County] board [of Supervisors]'s chairman - Gerry Connolly, the Democratic nominee for Congress in Virginia's 11th District - offered a strong defense of the school and accused critics of slander during the meeting in which the lease was approved.

Connolly did not return calls seeking comment Tuesday. But Keith Fimian, his Republican opponent for the congressional seat, said that because the school is on public land, taxpapers have the right to ensure that the curriculum meets certain criteria.

'From what I know, the board was wrong to renew the lease,' Fimian said."
For background on the whole ISA issue, readers are encouraged to revisit two of our pertinent posts
–May 15, 2010: Will GOP Candidates in Virginia 11 Talk About Islamists?

–August 8, 2008: Our Friends the Saudis and their Fairfax Academy
where we wrote - -

"Andrew Cochran here in Counter-Terrorism Blog gives us his current report on the stormy controversy surrounding the Islamic Saudi Academy. We had earlier written about this persistently thorny matter here and here.
Mr.Cochran concludes (but readers should also consider his entire post):
'Yet the State Department and Fairfax County supervisors duck, hide, and punt the issue back and forth, failing to act in the best interests of county citizens and the U.S. This is my seventh post on this issue since May [2008], and I am no more optimistic that they will act than I was in May.'"

Last month we explained in our "Ground Zero Mosque" Previewed in Falls Church Virginia? that–

"Virginia's Republican Representative Frank Wolf, however, has clearly spoken out on such matters — in trying to get light shed on a troubling situation created by Fairfax County's mindless approval of the Islamic Saudi Academy lease and the Academy's subsequent expansion."

The October 19 Fairfax County Board of Supervisors hearing on extending the lease is a sovereign opportunity to insist that the curriculum and teaching practices of the Islamic Saudi Academy be wholly and continually transparent if that school is to be allowed to conduct further operations on land belonging to the Commonwealth.

The two best witnesses to speak to the Fairfax Board in the ISA matter would be 10th District U. S. Representative Frank Wolf and 11th District House of Representatives candidate Keith Fimian.
Their appearance in person at the hearing would concentrate the supervisors' minds wonderfully, and would get across the point that facilitating with public resources any propagating of Shariah is a national concern. For the Shariah costs to the fabric of our society would clearly outweigh whatever rental revenue Fairfax County might receive from the Royal Saudi Embassy.

Take'em Out at The Ball Game

Though I too believe that the Dave Matthew's Band receives a little too much hype now and then, I've never wanted to bomb them. As a matter of fact, I've never had any inkling or desire, let alone a plan and what I thought to be a working device, to bomb anything. Then again, my belief system doesn't promote the murder of everyone else that isn't in my religion. Hmmm, just another mysterious case of a muslim with a bomb, absolutely no connection to any Islamic theology or organizations. The only interesting parallel is that either drawing Mohammed (Pedophile that he was) or burning the Quaran in reality is as much a weapon of mass destruction as an IED. Instead of shrapnel and concussive force, it is millions of muslims programmed to kill over any insult to their religion of peace.

You all know the story by now. Muslim boys meets explosive, falls into Jihad, and its Harry met C-4 or in this case, Sleepless in Chicago...those Jihadis, tireless romantics.

CHICAGO -- A man arrested for allegedly placing a backpack he thought contained an explosive near Chicago's Wrigley Field also talked about poisoning Lake Michigan, bombing a landmark skyscraper and assassinating Mayor Richard Daley, according to a federal complaint filed Monday.

Sami Samir Hassoun, 22, a Lebanese citizen living in Chicago for about three years, was charged with one count each of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted use of an explosive device.

"He wanted to transform the city of Chicago, he wanted to make a statement and he wanted to replace the mayor of Chicago," said FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Grant. "He was unhappy with the way the city was running. He was also unhappy with things that were happening in other parts of world."

At a brief hearing Monday, Hassoun quietly told U.S. Judge Susan Cox that he understood the charges. Hassoun's federally appointed public defender Dan McLaughlin declined to comment on the case, as did several family members who attended the hearing. A message left on an answering machine at Hassoun's home telephone number wasn't returned.

An FBI informant tipped investigators about Hassoun nearly a year ago, the agency said. Grant said Hassoun acted alone and that the undercover agents told him they were from California and unaffiliated with any group. He declined to offer specific details about Hassoun's motivations, but said he believed the agents were ready to give him money if he carried out the attack.

Hassoun was arrested early Sunday after planting the fake explosive device -- which was given to him by an undercover agent -- in a trash receptacle near Sluggers World Class Sports Bar, a popular bar steps from Wrigley Field, Grant said. The Cubs were not playing at their home field; the stadium hosted Dave Matthews Band concerts Friday and Saturday nights.

The informant befriended Hassoun over the course of a year, conducting conversations in Arabic, which were taped and shared with the FBI. In that time, Hassoun waffled greatly on his plans.

Initially, he didn't want to cause violence, suggesting setting off smoking devices in downtown locations near City Hall, authorities said.

"No killing. There is no killing," he told the informant, according to the complaint.

But his plans became more grand, as he believed bigger acts would command public attention and embarrass the mayor, according to the complaint.

"Little by little, I'm building it up," he said, according to the complaint. "I will shake Chicago."

Hassoun's alleged plots ranged during the investigation. They included talk of plans to unleash a biological virus on Chicago and bombing the Willis Tower, formerly known as the Sears Tower, the complaint said.

Hassoun on one occasion told the informant he wanted to paralyze commerce in the city, according to the complaint. Asked how he intended to carry out various suggested attacks, Hassoun responded, "You park the car, and let it go 'boom,"' the complaint says.

Grant said Hassoun wanted to start his own organization and planned to flee to California after the device went off in Wrigleyville.

"He was not highly skilled, but I think he was definitely desirous of obtaining the material needed to carry out his attack," Grant said.

Shortly before the plot near Wrigley Field, the informant introduced Hassoun to the undercover agents who Hassoun believed were friends and would pay for the attack to be carried out.

Chicago authorities said Daley never was in any danger. Police said Daley -- who has been in China for a business trip -- was informed of the plot over the weekend.

"We were always in control of this investigation," said Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis.

There have been other cases involving FBI agents posing as terror operatives and supplying suspects with bogus explosives. Last year, authorities arrested a Jordanian national after he allegedly attempted to detonate what he thought was a bomb outside a Dallas skyscraper.

In an unrelated case, authorities in Springfield, Ill., arrested another man after he allegedly tried he tried to set off what he thought was explosives in a van outside a federal courthouse.

Tax $'s for African Penis Washing

I don't even know where to begin with this one. Government deficits and a devastated economy are driving our financial system towards collapse. The average American that still has a home is struggling to keep it, and good people are pinching pennies just to get by...what a perfect time to spend $800K in tax dollars educating Africans how to wash their dicks. Lets add that to the $400K NIH spent on studying why men don't like condoms and that's $1.2 million tax dollars spent. The project management term used to describe this result is dick, as in, we got dick. The program management performance metric this program containing multiple such projects is: getting dicked over.

The NIH should be stripped of its budget, and forced to solicit for these projects door to door. We get them all the time, Band fundraisers, Cancer Walks, why not a knock the door for African Penis Washing.

DC Quake Report

I felt the earthquake this morning, but didn’t know what it was, at first I thought, Thermonuclear detonation…its been a good ride, then I thought, this is it, the air conditioner is going to blow…then I got in the shower.

Didn’t know it was an earthquake until I was listening to the radio in the car.

Living next to Terror Target #1 or 2, depending on how you look at it, mushroom clouds blossom in the fertile dark fields that cover the canvas of the back of my head. With this heat though, I'm most glad it wasn't the AC.

WASHINGTON - A 3.6 magnitude earthquake woke the Washington metro region Friday, rattling homes and startling people.

The U.S. Geological Survey says it happened at exactly 5:04:49 a.m. about 3 miles under the earth's surface.

Gaza Is Everywhere

In an Islamist movement bent on a global caliphate, the frontline is everywhere, Gaza is here. Wish we all demonstrated the balls this kid did, a lone teenager sails head on into a perfect storm of islamists and leftists.

Fairfax Supermarket: Al-Awlaki On Sale Everything Must Go!

Welcome to Falls Church, Fairfax County, home to the Wahhabi Corridor, the Build America Shopping Center, and the Dar Al-Hijrah 9-11 mosque...come for the halal stay for the jihad. Halalco, the Islamist super-market in the DC area, got caught with its hijab down by CBN selling US most wanted terrorist Anwar Al-Awlaki sermons. When confronted by the reported, management went straight to the playbook lie, deny, then threaten to kill for insulting Islam...well maybe not that last part. Great video. Rest of the story found at CBN here. Sadly, none of this news to the counter-jihad movement here, and as the story states, not to the FBI either.

Fairfax Home To Somlia War Crimes Drama

Something to ponder. I haven't researched the often conflicting facts that come out African conflicts, but its interesting to know that Fairfax was the chosen land for this to land in. Not surprising given what else we've imported from Somalia. What is funny/interesting, is that in the Fairfax Rte 7 Wahhabi Corridor, Somalis rank at the very bottom of the social structure. And here I thought it was only those of white western European descent that could be racist...somehow my Fairfax County Public Schools multi-cultural days and diversity sensitivity never sensitized me to the Islamic worlds race based social strata.

Ex-Somali official Mohamed Ali Samantar may be sued in U.S., Supreme Court rules

By Robert Barnes
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, June 2, 2010; A05

A group of Somalis who allege torture and killings by the former government of their homeland may pursue their lawsuit against a former prime minister now living in Fairfax County, the Supreme Court ruled Tuesday.

The justices ruled unanimously that a federal law that protects foreign governments from lawsuits filed in the United States does not cover individuals such as Mohamed Ali Samantar, who was defense minister and prime minister in the 1980s and early 1990s in the now-ousted government of Mohamed Siad Barre.

While Samantar's interpretation of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act is "literally possible," Justice John Paul Stevens wrote for the court, a close reading "supports the view of respondents and the United States that the Act does not address an official's claim to immunity."

The court warned that its decision was narrow and that Samantar might have other legal claims of immunity when a district court reconsiders the suit. "Whether petitioner [Samantar] may be entitled to immunity under common law, and whether he may have other valid defenses to the grave charges against him, are matters to be addressed" by lower courts, Stevens wrote.

But the legal organization that represented those who sued Samantar said the decision gives teeth to the remedy Congress supplied to let victims recover damages from those who have moved to the United States after committing human rights violations in their home countries.

"Faced with a choice between accountability and immunity, the Supreme Court squarely came down in favor of accountability," said Pamela Merchant, executive director of the Center for Justice and Accountability in San Francisco. "Congress passed the Torture Victims Protection Act because they did not want torturers who have committed serious human rights crimes to seek safe haven in the United States. The Supreme Court's decision means that the U.S. will not serve as a safe haven."

Lawyers for Samantar and some members of the diplomatic corps had argued to the court that a decision in favor of Bashe Yousef and four other Samantar accusers could have powerful foreign policy implications, and could open U.S. officials to lawsuits in foreign courts.

The case is Samantar v. Yousef.

FBI Plays Texas Hold'em With Jihadi

Surprise! Just when John Brennan had you feeling relaxed by telling Jihad was ok, another jihadi gets arrested trying to provide material support to jihadis. OMG, my sense of trust in the government's strategic understanding of enemy threat doctrine has been turned upside down.....oh, wait, never mind, these are not the droids I'm looking for.
Houston Chronicle has the story here:

Barry Walter Bujol Jr. claimed he was just a window washer, but a federal grand jury on Thursday accused the 29-year-old of attempting to provide al-Qaida terrorists with global positioning instruments, cell phones and a restricted publication on the effects of U.S. military weapons in Afghanistan.

According to court records, the tall, bearded Bujol was arrested by federal agents at the Port of Houston while boarding a ship bound for the Middle East.

Bujol, a U.S. citizen, was shackled at the waist and ankles when he appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Frances Stacy, who ordered him to remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

“This arrest is a sobering reminder of the threat we continue to face,” said Richard Powers, head of the FBI's Houston division. “It remains the FBI's overriding priority to predict and prevent terrorist attacks, at home and abroad.”

Authorities also searched Bujol's home at the Pine Meadows Apartments in Hempstead.

He said little in court; his attorney could not be reached immediately after the hearing.

The FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force began investigating Bujol in 2008 and determined he was sending e-mail to Anwar al-Aulaqi, a known associate and propagandist for al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, according to prosecutors.

Al-Aulaqi provided him with a document titled “42 Ways of Supporting Jihad.” Bujol also allegedly sought al-Aulaqi for advice on how to provide money to the mujahedeen overseas. Al-Aulaqi is the native-born U.S. citizen who exchanged e-mail with the suspect in the 2009 Fort Hood shootings, Army psychiatrist Nidal Malik Hasan.

In addition, Bujol made three unsuccessful attempts during February and March 2009 to leave the country and travel to Yemen or elsewhere in the Middle East, according to court documents.

The indictment lists 11 names for Bujol, including Pat, Paul, Michael, Abu ABudha Al Farnasi and Abu Najya.

He is accused of knowingly attempting to provide material support or resources to al-Qaida, including personnel, currency, prepaid phone cards, mobile telephone SIM cards and global positioning systems.

Prosecutors said he also attempted to provide restricted publications that detailed not only aspects of U.S. military systems, but described unmanned vehicles as well.

“Protecting the American public from the threat of terrorism, both international and home-grown, is the highest priority of the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas,” said Jose Angel Moreno, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas.
FBI enlists informant

As federal authorities did not take questions, it is not known how Bujol first came to their attention, what steps he allegedly took to transport the goods to al-Qaida, or whether any of those items were procured in the Houston area. Also unknown at this point is how Bujol is alleged to have made his initial contact with al-Qaida.

Beginning in November 2009, the FBI brought a confidential informant into the investigation — someone whom Bujol allegedly believed was an al-Qaida operative, according to prosecutors.

Over the next few months, Bujol repeatedly said he was willing to travel overseas to fight for al-Qaida.

The person working for the FBI provided him with a fake identification card that Bujol would use to get into the port in order to board a ship bound for the Middle East.

Bujol and his wife, Ernestine Johnson, are also charged with fraud in connection with an alleged conspiracy to obtain housing subsidies, court records show.

In 2009, Bujol claimed to make just $75 a week working part-time as a window washer at what authorities contend was a bogus company established in his name.

Johnson said she survived on money sent from the family.
Accused of rent scam

Because of the low income he claimed, Bujol secured subsidies that lowered the couple's rent to just $6 per month, instead of the usual $715, according to an affidavit filed in federal court.

At one point, Bujol allegedly was using the Social Security number of a man who had been killed in a car accident in Louisiana in 2001.

The FBI said it started keeping tabs on Bujol in 2009 with a camera hidden outside the couple's apartment, and never saw evidence that he had gainful employment.

Progressives Would Evolve Constitution to Nothing

George Will writes a great op-ed contrasting Madisonian and Wilsonian view of the Constitution. In a nutshell, Madisonian view is that of limited government, Wilsonian aka Progressive view is of limitless government.

The danger of a government with unlimited power

By George F. Will
Thursday, June 3, 2010; A17

Today, as it has been for a century, American politics is an argument between two Princetonians -- James Madison, Class of 1771, and Woodrow Wilson, Class of 1879. Madison was the most profound thinker among the Founders. Wilson, avatar of "progressivism," was the first president critical of the nation's founding. Barack Obama's Wilsonian agenda reflects its namesake's rejection of limited government.

Lack of "a limiting principle" is the essence of progressivism, according to William Voegeli, contributing editor of the Claremont Review of Books, in his new book "Never Enough: America's Limitless Welfare State." The Founders, he writes, believed that free government's purpose, and the threats to it, are found in nature. The threats are desires for untrammeled power, desires which, Madison said, are "sown in the nature of man." Government's limited purpose is to protect the exercise of natural rights that pre-exist government, rights that human reason can ascertain in unchanging principles of conduct and that are essential to the pursuit of happiness.

Wilsonian progressives believe that History is a proper noun, an autonomous thing. It, rather than nature, defines government's ever-evolving and unlimited purposes. Government exists to dispense an ever-expanding menu of rights -- entitlements that serve an open-ended understanding of material and even spiritual well-being.

The name "progressivism" implies criticism of the Founding, which we leave behind as we make progress. And the name is tautological: History is progressive because progress is defined as whatever History produces. History guarantees what the Supreme Court has called "evolving standards of decency that mark the progress of a maturing society."

The cheerful assumption is that "evolving" must mean "improving." Progressivism's promise is a program for every problem, and progressivism's premise is that every unfulfilled desire is a problem.

Franklin Roosevelt, an alumnus of Wilson's administration, resolved to "resume" Wilson's "march along the path of real progress" by giving government "the vibrant personal character that is the very embodiment of human charity." He repudiated the Founders' idea that government is instituted to protect pre-existing and timeless natural rights, promising "the re-definition of these rights in terms of a changing and growing social order."

He promised "a right to make a comfortable living." Presumably, the judiciary would define and enforce the delivery of comfort. Specifically, there could be no right to "do anything which deprives others" of whatever "elemental rights" the government decides to dispense.

Today, government finds the limitless power of dispensing not in Madison's Constitution of limited government but in Wilson's theory that the Constitution actually frees government from limitations. The liberating -- for government -- idea is that the Constitution is a "living," evolving document. Wilson's Constitution is an emancipation proclamation for government, empowering it to regulate all human activities in order to treat all human desires as needs and hence as rights. Unlimited power is entailed by what Voegeli calls government's "right to discover new rights."

"Liberalism's protean understanding of rights," he says, "complicates and ultimately dooms the idea of a principled refusal to elevate any benefit that we would like people to enjoy to the status of an inviolable right." Needs breed rights to have the needs addressed, to the point that Lyndon Johnson, an FDR protege, promised that government would provide Americans with "purpose" and "meaning."

Although progressivism's ever-lengthening list of rights is as limitless as human needs/desires, one right that never makes the list is the right to keep some inviolable portion of one's private wealth or income, "regardless," Voegeli says, "of the lofty purposes social reformers wish to make of it."

Lacking a limiting principle, progressivism cannot say how big the welfare state should be but must always say that it should be bigger than it currently is. Furthermore, by making a welfare state a fountain of rights requisite for democracy, progressives in effect declare that democratic deliberation about the legitimacy of the welfare state is illegitimate.

"By blackening the skies with crisscrossing dollars," Voegeli says, the welfare state encourages people "to believe an impossibility: that every household can be a net importer of the wealth redistributed by the government." But the welfare state's problem, today becoming vivid, is socialism's problem, as Margaret Thatcher defined it: Socialist governments "always run out of other people's money."

Wilsonian government, meaning (in Wilson's words) government with "unstinted power," is hostile to Madison's Constitution, which, Madison said, obliges government "to control itself." Thus our choice is between government restraint rooted in respect for nature, or government free to follow History wherever government says History marches.

Krauthammer on Gaza Blockade

One of the few good pundits left, Krauthammer nails the truth surrounding Gaza:
The Obama Administration will allow (either through planning or ignorance) the destruction of Israel.

Summary quote: "Israel refuses repeated invitations to national suicide."
We should adopt the same strategy.

Full article follows:
Charles Krauthammer
Friday, June 4, 2010; A19

The world is outraged at Israel's blockade of Gaza. Turkey denounces its illegality, inhumanity, barbarity, etc. The usual U.N. suspects, Third World and European, join in. The Obama administration dithers.

But as Leslie Gelb, former president of the Council on Foreign Relations, writes, the blockade is not just perfectly rational, it is perfectly legal. Gaza under Hamas is a self-declared enemy of Israel -- a declaration backed up by more than 4,000 rockets fired at Israeli civilian territory. Yet having pledged itself to unceasing belligerency, Hamas claims victimhood when Israel imposes a blockade to prevent Hamas from arming itself with still more rockets.

In World War II, with full international legality, the United States blockaded Germany and Japan. And during the October 1962 missile crisis, we blockaded ("quarantined") Cuba. Arms-bearing Russian ships headed to Cuba turned back because the Soviets knew that the U.S. Navy would either board them or sink them. Yet Israel is accused of international criminality for doing precisely what John Kennedy did: impose a naval blockade to prevent a hostile state from acquiring lethal weaponry.

Oh, but weren't the Gaza-bound ships on a mission of humanitarian relief? No. Otherwise they would have accepted Israel's offer to bring their supplies to an Israeli port, be inspected for military materiel and have the rest trucked by Israel into Gaza -- as every week 10,000 tons of food, medicine and other humanitarian supplies are sent by Israel to Gaza.

Why was the offer refused? Because, as organizer Greta Berlin admitted, the flotilla was not about humanitarian relief but about breaking the blockade, i.e., ending Israel's inspection regime, which would mean unlimited shipping into Gaza and thus the unlimited arming of Hamas.

Israel has already twice intercepted ships laden with Iranian arms destined for Hezbollah and Gaza. What country would allow that?

But even more important, why did Israel even have to resort to blockade? Because, blockade is Israel's fallback as the world systematically de-legitimizes its traditional ways of defending itself -- forward and active defense.

(1) Forward defense: As a small, densely populated country surrounded by hostile states, Israel had, for its first half-century, adopted forward defense -- fighting wars on enemy territory (such as the Sinai and Golan Heights) rather than its own.

Where possible (Sinai, for example) Israel has traded territory for peace. But where peace offers were refused, Israel retained the territory as a protective buffer zone. Thus Israel retained a small strip of southern Lebanon to protect the villages of northern Israel. And it took many losses in Gaza, rather than expose Israeli border towns to Palestinian terror attacks. It is for the same reason America wages a grinding war in Afghanistan: You fight them there, so you don't have to fight them here.

But under overwhelming outside pressure, Israel gave it up. The Israelis were told the occupations were not just illegal but at the root of the anti-Israel insurgencies -- and therefore withdrawal, by removing the cause, would bring peace.

Land for peace. Remember? Well, during the past decade, Israel gave the land -- evacuating South Lebanon in 2000 and Gaza in 2005. What did it get? An intensification of belligerency, heavy militarization of the enemy side, multiple kidnappings, cross-border attacks and, from Gaza, years of unrelenting rocket attack.

(2) Active defense: Israel then had to switch to active defense -- military action to disrupt, dismantle and defeat (to borrow President Obama's description of our campaign against the Taliban and al-Qaeda) the newly armed terrorist mini-states established in southern Lebanon and Gaza after Israel withdrew.

The result? The Lebanon war of 2006 and Gaza operation of 2008-09. They were met with yet another avalanche of opprobrium and calumny by the same international community that had demanded the land-for-peace Israeli withdrawals in the first place. Worse, the U.N. Goldstone report, which essentially criminalized Israel's defensive operation in Gaza while whitewashing the casus belli -- the preceding and unprovoked Hamas rocket war -- effectively de-legitimized any active Israeli defense against its self-declared terror enemies.

(3) Passive defense: Without forward or active defense, Israel is left with but the most passive and benign of all defenses -- a blockade to simply prevent enemy rearmament. Yet, as we speak, this too is headed for international de-legitimation. Even the United States is now moving toward having it abolished.

But, if none of these is permissible, what's left?

Ah, but that's the point. It's the point understood by the blockade-busting flotilla of useful idiots and terror sympathizers, by the Turkish front organization that funded it, by the automatic anti-Israel Third World chorus at the United Nations, and by the supine Europeans who've had quite enough of the Jewish problem.

What's left? Nothing. The whole point of this relentless international campaign is to deprive Israel of any legitimate form of self-defense. Why, just last week, the Obama administration joined the jackals, and reversed four decades of U.S. practice, by signing onto a consensus document that singles out Israel's possession of nuclear weapons -- thus de-legitimizing Israel's very last line of defense: deterrence.

The world is tired of these troublesome Jews, 6 million -- that number again -- hard by the Mediterranean, refusing every invitation to national suicide. For which they are relentlessly demonized, ghettoized and constrained from defending themselves, even as the more committed anti-Zionists -- Iranian in particular -- openly prepare a more final solution.

Jihad Counselor Wanted

Fairfax Summer Reading List: Dawa and Global Fooling

Fairfax County Public Schools 6th grade reading list includes how to build a mosque and a biography of muslim-in-chief Obama.

Also of special note for grades 7&8, especially because the debate on global warming is over and anyone who objects to sloppy science should be burned at the stake as a witch:

Gore, Albert. AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH: THE CRISIS OF GLOBAL WARMING. Gore examines the climate crisis of the planet, describes what world governments are doing, and offers reasons for serious consideration of the problems. (NF) (Yes, that means non-fiction)

Fairfax County Muslim Arrested For Threatening Obama

FAIRFAX, Va. - A Fairfax County man is under arrest after being accused of threatening to "blow the brains out" of President Obama. Police are taking the email threat very seriously.

The Fairfax patent lawyer is charged with threatening to kill the president on, but neighbors suspect there were previous threats. His next door neighbor found a law enforcement agent hiding behind a tree in his front yard just after the February blizzard appearing to monitor the home of the alleged would be assassin.

As Laurel Ridge Elementary School was letting out Friday, parents were shocked to discover that the neighbor who lives in a house on Commonwealth Boulevard is now in prison and accused of threatening to kill President Obama. ABC 7 Talkback:

We asked neighbor Jennifer Baitinger if the news was trouble to her, given his house and proximity to the school. She replied, "Oh yes, definitely. It's a little disturbing."

Mary Walker sits on the board of the neighborhood association.

She said about the neighborhood, "Kings Park West is a great neighborhood. We've got families with young children. We've got singles. We've got lots of senior citizens who are like grandparents to everybody."

In court papers, the government charges Adam Albrett, also known as Muhannad Almahmoudi, sent an email May 14 threatening to "blow the brains out of President Obama unless he vacates the White House."

The arrest warrant accuses Albrett of "threats against the president and successors to the presidency," which would be White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Albrett also threatened to kill Emanuel.

Neighbors say 45-year-old Albrett is a patent attorney of Middle Eastern descent who grew up here. His sister, who is a dentist, and two brothers, an engineer and a doctor, attended Laurel Ridge Elementary School.

Neighbors say that Albrett and his family all have been friendly during their years on Commonwealth Boulevard. His mother often exchanged cookies and food at the holidays.

Albrett waits in prison for his next court appearance on June 1.

Obama Jedi Mind Tricks

This has been working well...

...though now that he's on vacation while the largest ever US oil spill is underway, even the fellow Sith seem to not be falling for it.

Pakistani national found guilty of conspiring to back Taliban

Say it isn't so. A Pakistani national backing the Taliban...never. The most important thing is that it has nothing to do with his religion and that Islam is a religion of peace, and these are not the droids you're looking for.

HOUSTON (AP) — A Pakistani college student living in Texas was convicted Thursday of conspiring to help the Taliban and fight U.S. troops.
A federal jury convicted Adnan Babar Mirza, 33, of two conspiracy counts and seven firearms violations after a three-day trial in Houston. He faces up to five years in prison on each conspiracy count and 10 years on the weapons counts when he is sentenced on Sept. 10.

Mirza, who remains in federal custody, was one of four men arrested in 2006 for alleged participation in paramilitary training exercises at campsites around the Houston area so they could engage in a holy war.

Mirza's attorney, David Adler, told jurors Mirza went on camping trips but denied they involved paramilitary training exercises.

Prosecutor Jim McAlister told jurors that the activities of Mirza and the other three men came to authorities' attention after another of their friends, James Coates, decided "things were getting out of hand" and became an FBI informant.

Mirza claimed Coates was the one who was militant and promoted violence.

An undercover officer taped conversations with Mirza and the other men in which they allegedly talked about ambushing U.S. soldiers and triggering a bomb with a cell phone, according to court documents.

FBI Special Agent John McKinley, the prosecution's first witness, told jurors Mirza can be heard on the taped conversations talking about sending money to support Taliban families. Prosecutors have said Mirza collected about $900 for Taliban fighters and their families.

But Adler said it's not against the law to send money to the families of Taliban fighters and Mirza collected money for hospitals and other groups but not specifically for the Taliban.

He also said Mirza can be heard in these taped conversations expressing anger about injustices Muslims around the world have experienced, but his client was just expressing emotion and didn't intend to act on it.

Prosecutors also said Mirza, who was attending Houston Community College, was in the country illegally because he violated his student visa by working.

Adler denied his client violated his student visa by working.

The three other men who were arrested have pleaded guilty or been convicted.

Kobie Diallo Williams, a U.S. citizen, was sentenced in August to 4½ years in prison for conspiring to join the Taliban and fight against U.S. forces.

Syed Maaz Shah, a former Pakistani engineering student at the University of Texas at Dallas, was sentenced in 2007 to 6½ years in prison on federal firearms charges. Shiraz Syed Qazi, also a Pakistani student and Mirza's cousin, received a 10-month prison sentence in 2007 on a firearms charge.

Big Khat Bust in Fairfax Wahhabi Corridor

Welcome to the Wahhabi Corridor, home to Dar al Hijrah and Build America and overflowing with Islamists. This is not what was meant by your tired, your hungry, your poor.

Police Seize Record Catch of Khat

Mason Police District – A police officer on patrol observed what appeared to be a drug transaction in a parking lot at 5981 Columbia Pike in the Falls Church area, around 6:10 p.m. on Saturday May 15. The officer stopped two men and conducted an investigation which revealed that one suspect was allegedly purchasing khat from the other. Both men were arrested and approximately 21 pounds of khat was seized. A subsequent search of one suspect’s house led to the seizure of an additional 111 pounds of khat.

This is believed to be the largest seizure of khat in Fairfax County history. Khat is an amphetamine and a Schedule I drug. It is a flowering evergreen shrub native to East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Typically, it is chewed like tobacco, though it can be smoked and sprinkled on food.

Ahmed Omer Abdujelel, 45, of 2846 Annandale Road #121 was charged with distribution of a Schedule I drug and distribution near certain properties (recreation center).

Ali Abdi Hersi, 47, of 30 Channing Street, NW, in Washington DC was charged with possession of a Schedule I drug.

Happy Belated Draw Mohammed Day

Build me a church, a synagogue, a giant Buddha, and statue of Vishnu next door to Mecca, and then I'll think about taking this down in the name of interfaith dialogue. Until then, adherent Muslims can continue to declare that they will kill us until we like them.

Fairfax Muslim Threatened South Park

I would love, love to see, a discussion of jihad between John Brennan and Fairfax County's good jihadi son, Zachary Adam Chesser/Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee.

Al-Amrikee, a former George Mason Univeristy student, is the good muslim who threatened South Park over the Mohammad (may he burn in hell) episode, or as he claims, did not threaten but rather announce a universal truth that they should die:

“This stance [advocating death for those who insult Muhammad in keeping with several Islamic rulings throughout history] is virtually obligatory,” the statement says in part. “But it does not mean that our taking this stance is in some way an absolute call toward the requirement that the creators of South Park must be killed, nor a deliberate attempt at incitement; it is only to declare the truth regardless of consequence and to offer an awareness in the mind of Westerners when they consider doing the same thing.”

He did attend GMU, until he met another muslim student (presumably female), and dropped out to marry and successfully procreate. Mr. and Mrs. Jihadi and their baby jihadi have put down roots as the peaceful quite Jihadi nuclear family next door that is polite to their infidel neighbors they wouldn't hesitate to kill.
But fear not, his religon has nothing to do with his motives, and Islam is a religion of peace. Brennan, drink our cool-aid, not theirs.

But don't fear Dhimmi Fairfax, though he no longer lives at his mother's Centerville home, we've not lost him, he still lives in another Fairfax town. Look for him at an interfaith meeting near you.

Interesting, if not confusing, is the back and forth between overt Islamist and flaming Islamist. CAIR claimed the Revolution Muslim South Park threats were a set-up, to which Al-Amrikee had this to say:

In response to statements by the Council on American-Islamic Relations implying that Revolution Islam was too outrageous to be real and could be a setup to smear Islam, Al-Amrikee said, “CAIR is an organization which frequently abandons Islamic principles in favor of pleasing American politicians. This is how many if not most Muslims view them. We e-mailed them our press release so that they could respond, but they have yet to do this. They do not return to the religious proofs for what they say, but they issue statements from emotions.”

“CAIR should worry more about the millions of Muslims whose blood has been shed by America over the past 20 years than appeasing a society that only cares about its own citizens,” Al-Amrikee said.

This just in, we're f'd.

The President's top counterterrorism adviser, John Brennan, announces that Jihadis are fighting us, and we will continue not to fight them. Might as well announce we're at war with the Boogey Man and the monster under my bed.

Here is how you know that a lot more infidels and apostates are going to die:

"Nor do we describe our enemy as 'jihadists' or 'Islamists' because jihad is a holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam, meaning to purify oneself or one's community, and there is nothing holy or legitimate or Islamic about murdering innocent men, women and children," Brennan said.

Well the only problem with his statment is, well everything, someone has been reading more Tarriq Ramadan than his Koran, the Hadiths, or say the Pakistani military's definitive treatise on jihad, "The Quaranic Concept of War." Its here on Amazaon, but then again, I suppose you don't find what you don't look for. Which is really the point, we're not looking at all. Even worse, Brennan is reading their propoganda.

But maybe its just the administration, surely others can't be so foolish, say like approving a mega-mosque at the WTC.
